-December 2019 Our current focus in Social Studies is learning about LIVING AND WORKING IN ONTARIO. This unit will continue through to mid February -We are learning about the 3 PHYSICAL LANDFORM REGIONS: Great Lakes/ St Lawrence Lowlands Canadian Shield Hudson Bay Lowlands
-We are learning about the types of occupations each region would be most likely to have. -We are learning about the relationship between a country, province, municipality and town or city, and will identify their responsibilities.
October 28th/2019 We are starting to wrap up our unit on mapping skills and students will be writing a quiz on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8th. Please use materials provided below to assist with review. September 16th- To get us started in Social Studies Grade 3's have started a short unit on Mapping. Students are encouraged to try to commit names of continents and oceans to memory and be able to locate them on a map of the world. Encourage the use of directional language when describing location of places on a map.
